After reading the book "Soup Day" by Melissa Iwai this week, we decided we should make our own soup in the Swift classroom. We brainstormed a list of ideas of what we wanted in our soup, and children brought vegetables and pasta from home to cook up into our soup on Wednesday. Children were very excited to add their ingredient to the soup, assist in stirring the pot, and smell the wonderful aromas filling our classroom!
We had such fun cooking and tasting our soup that now there are many ideas flowing in the classroom about what we could make next...
Thank you to all of our families for supporting our project with donations of beans, pasta, carrots, snap peas, peppers, tomatoes, parsley, potatoes, onions, garlic, broccoli and cheese!
