Children recently had the opportunity to explore sewing yarn through burlap. There was a great deal of concentration involved as children threaded their needles, made stitches, and examined their designs!

We provide many opportunities for children to immerse themselves in a wide variety of materials, with the knowledge that children learn best when all of their senses are engaged. Getting messy and fully exploring materials happens often in our classrooms!

Children built a volcano out of paper mache last week and then used coca cola and mentos to make it explode!

We took great care in washing our classroom dinosaurs last week. There were many great conversations about what kind of baths dinosaurs like, how much much bubbles they prefer, and how to best clean a dinosaur!
